Locked Missing or corrupt mfc100u.dll

    What could be the reason of getting this error when I start an exe installer?  :

    This program could not start because of a missing or corrupt mfc100u.dll.

      If you are installing any application which link with mfc100u.dll, they might install this DLL along with their application.  Can you post the application name, OS version, etc.

      I am able to see the mfc100u.dll in my windows 7 OS. 

      C:\Windows\System32\mfc100u.dll
