Hi, when I run some application, after a while error pops up, and sometimes unexpected shutdown happens.
    The error says:

    Appl.exe - application error
The instruction "0x6ac65f64" referenced memory of "0xffffffff" The memory could not be read.
Ok -to terminate. Cancel to dedug.

well, I have 4G of RAM and it is brand new hard drive.
My guees is when an application is running it gives error? Is it a VIRUS?
    How can I fix it.
    Thanks in advance,Gennady46

Sounds like a hardware issue then. Certainly faulty memory can exhibit these symptoms.

You need a technician to run some diagnostics on your machine. Since it's a new machine, a good tactic is to try to return it.

Is it always the same application and the same address? If so, it is incriminating of a bug in the application itself. Apart from that, there is insufficent information whether a virus or hardware problem is responsible.

This has nothing to do with the subject of this forum, by the way.

I know it has nothing to do with the subject. I am sorry, I think I posted in a wrong place.

    It is every application.

But the last two hours ago everything got fixed by itself. I do not know what happened.

I think it was a hardware issue. But why it is working well now?

Will I have problems later on?
