Resources scan in "my Computer"

hi all.
i'm trying to write a simple Server/Client that show the list of resources of cient to server.
is there any way for list it... and then... is there any way to see if resource is a cd-rom or dvd-rom or hard disk.... or anything else?

What exactly do you mean by resources?

Available drives?

Installed printers/scanners/Other devices?

USB devices?

Serial ports?

Each type of device has a different method for enumeration.

i mean available drives...

For list of all drives you can use GetLogicalDrives function.

To determine what type of drive it is, use GetDriveType function.
