I checked with some folks from the project designer team and it looks like setup projects are a special case. You can't customize or export them.

Sorry I don't have better news.

    Hello Greg,

I understand and sympathize your concern here. But it is not available in current version. What I suggest is you can submit a feedback to ask for this feature through the official 2010 version feedback channel,
    https://connect.microsoft.com/visualstudio?wa=wsignin1.0

The Product Group will monitor there, evaluate the feature request, and decide whether to implement for future version.

    Have a nice day, Sir!

    Best regards,
    Ji Zhou

The documentation has a bunch of information on customizing templates. Try this topic for starters: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms185319.aspx

I also opened a case with Microsoft support and got the same answer, I need some one to let 2010 version team know to put this in since it is still in beta.

    Anyone can help?

    Thanks.
