If you are starting now, I suggest you to study ASP.NET MVC, is newer, more flexible and versatile.Matteo Migliore

It depends upon the web site or application. With Yahoo Messenger you would have to identify the application child windows for the user name and password before sending the information. The Windows API is involved here.
If you're really lucky you might be able to use the SendKeys Class to send keystrokes to the application.

The meaning of logins and passwords (keys) is that it makes opening programs not as easy as if there was no door.
Therefore there are created many methods to create a login; and some have even their very own methods.
There is no general rule. Once there was something like http login, but that is seldom used anymore because many persons know how to pass that.
The Microsoft Live ID was a for instance an try to give everybody the same kind of key. However, not everybody in the world trust Americans and even in the USA are persons who don't trust Microsoft; so those kind of actions will in my opinion never get a result (also not as it is not done by Microsoft or Americans).

Paul, quite offending from you to suggest that I've something against Americans in general or whatever person in the world just because he is from another nation than the EU.
You should know better.
However, it seems as if you never read a message complete. This is in my message.
also not as it is not done by Microsoft or Americans.
The Live ID is just an Microsoft American thing.

Sorry, no idea what you really meant in your prior post, but I would avoid making generalizations about groups or classes of people based upon their nationality (e.g. Americans). Hope that helps. :-)
