Visual Basic 2005 Express Ed. BETA 2

Question

Hello.

I was wondering if it's possible to get Visual Basic 2005 Express BETA 2 on CD without having to have a Credit Card in Australia. I have tried the manual and automatic downloads and they don't work for me at all, both at home (not connected to internet) and at work. (I couldn't use the automatic download at work due to me not having admin privleges)

Hi Jason,

Is it possible for you to download the CD image at work, and then burn it to CD?  Please check out these instructions and let me know if it can work for you:  http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express/maninstall/

I understand this is a bit of an inconvenience.  I'll pass your requirements on to the team responsible for automatic setup.

Hello again

I've just downloaded it. I had to split it into 5 pieces and take it home like that... It should still work... I hope... I've only got 2 pieces left! Yay! (As long as they don't reset the server)

Once I've got all the pieces I'll burn it to one of my brand new CD's
