    I am deploying this client to a Terminal Server that will be used by many users. Anytime a new user logs on to this server, the profile will be created and Lync will try to start. The users will then have to go to the settings/options and turn this off if this annoys them (which i know it will)

    How can i turn this off on a server so this option is not presented to the users?

    Thanks

    To do this via Group Policy the communicator.adm template can be used to control the following setting:

    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Communicator\AutoRunWhenLogonToWindows
    REG_DWORD
    Value = 0

    I dont see any way you can control via Group Policy.

    The "Launch Microsoft Lync First Run" selection has two options, one including autolaunch one without.  It would certainly be more clear if First Run and autolaunch were completely separated.

    I've updated the administrative template and made it available for download. Please read it here: http://www.reijling.nl/?p=876
