please advice me how to msdbdata.mdf shrink SQL 2005

Hi,
MSDB database stores lot of log information
- Backup & Restore Log
- SQL agent history
- Database mail history
- DTS and SSIS package log
So, this can take lot of space is server if this has not been cleaned.

You can just shrink the msdb system database from SSMS Object Explorer:
