    We are releasing Manual Testing tools for Metro style apps using Html in Visual Studio 11. The feature is described in the //build talk - http://channel9.msdn.com/events/BUILD/BUILD2011/TOOL-530T. This feature supports touch gestures also.

     

    Coded UI Tests for touch and metro style apps will *not* be available in Visual Studio 11. It is very high on our product backlog.

    Hi,

    As coded UI doesn't support record-reply style of testing automation for Metro style window apps, are there any api's available in VS 11 to automate testing. is it possible? We are looking for metro style app testing automation since longtime.

    Hi,

    I am also looking for some pointers for the same(automation of metro style app), I am trying to build a tool which can access metro style app UI and check for the accessibility rules. is this possible to access metro style app UI controls from desktop automation client?

    Hi,

      Has metro app testing using Coded UI been implemented? Plz treat this important and answer. We need to make a decision on porting our apps from Win 7 to Win 8.
