Answered Type of Tree drop down not available

I've been reading about TRee Views (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd286633.aspx) and see that the Type of Tree should be a drop down to enable further link types to be selected for inclusion in the view. It seems that area on my install is READ ONLY as Parent/Child.

Quote from MSDN '(Optional) Click the Type of tree drop-down arrow and then click the type of tree link whose work items you want to find. Only those link types with the topology of tree are listed in the menu.'

Does anyone one how to activate this drop down or if I am fundamentally doing something wrong?

    Cally,

Are you using the Team System Web Access (TSWA) or Team Explorer to create/modify the WI query?
You'll get the drop-down only in the TSWA.

What are you trying to accomplish?

    Hi Damir,

I'm trying to create a Tree View which contains other relationship links other than simply Parent / Child.

Sorry I'm using Team Explorer to create my queries.

    Hi Cally,

    Thanks for your post.

For this issue, as Damir said, the “(Optional) Click the Type of tree drop-down arrow and then click the type of tree link whose work items…” available in TFS Web Access, you will get the
drop-down only in TFS Web Access.

To create Tree View query in Team Explorer, please refer to the To use Team Explorer to create a tree view querysection in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd286633.aspx.
