Possible to show when tab has content?

If I add a custom tab to a work item, is it possible to somehow reflect when there is content available on that tab?
For example, I add a "Notes" tab to a work item with a single plaintext field for entering notes. I would like the tab name to possibly have an asterisk or some other notification that helps the viewer realize that they should check that tab. i.e. The tab name "Notes" changes to "Notes*" when there is actually a note entered.

I doubt that. Form definition is static and it does not depend on work item's data. -

I'd like to revise this question since was asked almost 4 years ago. Hopefully Visual Studio has grown since then. I'll rephrase (and broaden) the question as:
How do I set up Visual Studio so that each tab in a work item clearly shows when there is content available on that tab, e.g., by having the tab name highligthed somehow, such as bold or color or an asterisk (*)?
