I understand that there is no utility to automate the move of work-items. At this point I would just like to know if there is a way to override the 'Read Only' attribute of the field when an item is exported to Excel - ideally someone from Microsoft could explain that.

Again, thank you for your time and help.

Peter

Tue, 08 Apr 2008 17:04:38 Z2008-04-08T17:04:38Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/tfsworkitemtracking/thread/3155fa64-1ec8-49e0-b92a-f73011a14999#18bc6df1-a6c9-4229-9bb2-26f1338a528chttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/tfsworkitemtracking/thread/3155fa64-1ec8-49e0-b92a-f73011a14999#18bc6df1-a6c9-4229-9bb2-26f1338a528cAliaksei Baturytskihttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Aliaksei%20BaturytskiTrying to move work-items from one Team Project to another..
If you want to move entire work items, you should consider using TFS migration toolkit and TFS 2 TFS migration tool; both are available on CodePlex and can be downloaded with source codes from codeplex.
