Hello,
I have recently tried installing Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server. One of the problems that I encountered was that the default instance that we are running is not MS SQL Server 2005, to change the default instance to 2005 would be a night mare for me and as such I was wondering if there is a way to install Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server without changing the default instance to SQL 2005.
I appreciate any help you can give me in this matter.
Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alexander,
While not supported in TFS v1, it is possible to use SQL Aliasing to make this work. There is a post in the forums that describes how to do this.
If you are curious, we are working on SQL Instance support in our next release.
