I have this error message when I tried to configure the TFS 2010 - Extension for SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard. Any idea why?

    Hi lannyboy,

    Thank you for your post.

According to thr error message, it seems some other odjects do not installed. Is there any detail event log?
Which machine you want to install this extension?
Have you installed any SharePoint products in this machine before?

You must install these extensions if any of the following conditions are true:

    • You specify a deployment of SharePoint Products that is already installed and configured, and you do not want to install the application tier for Team Foundation on the same server.
    • You install SharePoint Products on a different server from Team Foundation Server.
    • You want to use more than one SharePoint Web application, and the applications are hosted on different servers or Web farms. In this case, you must install the extensions on every server that is hosting a Web application that you want to use, but you must configure the extensions on only one server per Web farm.

Generally, you need to install this extension when you want to deploy SharePoint and TFS on different machines, and the machine you install this extension need to install any SharePoint product before. For detail information, you can refer to Extensions for SharePoint Products.

I hope this information will help resolve this issue.

If anything is unclear, please free feel to let me know.

    Best regards,
