TF220059 Error during installation of TFS

Question

Hello all,

I have tried to install the TFS 2008 on a server at our company.
I have read al other topics and still the problem is there.

The following error:

One final question how much diskspace does the installation needs. Recommend by Microsoft = 30GB!!! Is TFS allocating 30 GB?

Is your SSRS working (service started?)? Can you navigate to your reporting server?


The TFS installation does not require 30GB. It is recommended so you have enough space to allocate the databases in the future. It all depends on the number of users that connects to TFS, how active they are, and whether or not you store large documents in the work items and/or the portal.

Follow these steps to install Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services.

To install SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services

1.       Insert the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 product CD into the CD Drive.

9.       On the Change or Remove Instance page, click Change Installed Components.

11.   On the Ready to Update page, click Install.

12.   On the Setup Progress page, click Next.

13.   On the Completing Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Setup page, click Finish.

  From the latest installation guide: If we install a dual-server TFS.

To install SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services by using the installation wizard

1. Log on to Windows using an appropriate domain account (for example, TFSSETUP) for Team Foundation Server.

2. Insert the installation DVD for SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition or Standard Edition. 

3. On the SQL Server 2005 Start page, click Server components, tools, Books Online, and samples.

4. On the End User License Agreement page, review the license agreement. If you accept the terms and conditions, select the I accept the licensing terms and conditions check box, and then click Next.

5. On the Installing Prerequisites page, click Install.

6. After installation of the prerequisites, click Next.

   The Microsoft SQL Server Installation Wizardstarts.

7. Click Next.

8. On the System Configuration Check page, perform any required actions, such as restarting the server, and then click Next to start installation.

9. On the Registration Information page, complete the registration information, and then click Next.

10. On the Components to Install page, select the Reporting Services check box, and then click Next.

11. On the Instance Name page, click either Default instance or Named instance. If you clicked Named instance, type the name of the instance. Click Next.

12. On the Service Account page, click Use the built-in system account, and then click Network Service. In Start services at the end of setup, select the Reporting Services check box, and then click Next.

13. On the Report Server Installation Options page, make sure that Install but do not configure the server is specified, and click Next.

    Team Foundation Server will configure the report server for you.

14. (Optional) On the Error and Usage Report Settings page, select one or both check boxes to specify where information about errors and feature usage should be sent, and then click Next.

15. On the Ready to Install page, review the list of components to be installed, and then click Install.

    The Setup Progress page shows the status of each component.

16. After installation has completed, click Next.

17. Click Finish to close the wizard.

I have the same exact error message in my TF Install log and I have confirmed that all of the prerequisits are installed and operations including the Reports Server.

                     "Found no instances of WMI class __NAMESPACE under namespace"

I dont know if I'm looking for a dll file, configuration file or what.

Pls help.
