    I need to migrate my "Team Foundation Server 2008" to a new server is in another domain and has TFS 2010, it is possible to do this?

    The easiest way is to first do a restore based move (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms404860(VS.80).aspx), and then perform an upgrade to TFS2010.

    Another path is to first upgrade to TFS 2010, then install in the new domain a fresh TFS 2010 installation. Then move the project collection from the old server to the new server: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd236915(VS.100).aspx

    Thanks for you help, but my enviroment is complex, i need move my team foundation server at other server with an domain and hardware diferent, i see is possible to change to one scenario (other domain,other hardware,other environment)  but it can do what I need? i don't have problem to loss my permissions settings or the web sites but I need the work items and code control history

    reattaching a project collection is nothing more then moving a darabase. It has nothing to do with hardware.

    Issue might be other user accounts.
