Excel gets its data from the TFS warehouse. Probably the the warehouse is not updating (or the frequency of update is high). See this link to change the frequency of updating the warehouse/cube -
More info on warehouses can be seen here - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms244696%28v=vs.90%29.aspx

Thanks Sid for your kindly help.
Hello Varun,
For your issue I agree with Sid's great opinion. And apart from Sid's suggestions, I think you can consider refresh the Tfs_Warehouse manually so see if you can get the latest data in the Excel report. Ewald has a great blog about it, see:

Thanks.

Hi Sid/Vicky,
We have simliar issue.
We have created a new project in Jan/2012, And in the month of Feb we tried generating the Excel reports from same project and it comes up with the report starting with year 2009, However the project was created in 2012 and wont display the latest data.
As per the advice follwed steps from below blog and manually refereshed the Warehouse database which didn't help http://www.ewaldhofman.nl/post/2009/11/25/Refresh-the-TFS-Warehouse-manually.aspx
Please let me know if i missed anything.
Thanks in advance.

Hi
When you ran the refresh warehouse manually, were there any errors? You can see the statuu of the processes that were executed by clicking on the "GetProcessingStatus" link.
