    Hi Freeco,

TFS Team Build is installed and configured on Build servers and the Build server box is most of the times different from TFS server.

If you are Installing Team Foundation Server and Team Foundation Build on same server, Its better to Install Team Foundation Server first. The other way also should not be much problem.

If you are Installing on different servers, then you can install it as you want.

If you are upgrading from TFS2008 to TFS2008 SP1, and you already have team build Installed then it will support after the upgrade also.

Your questions is not very much clear, please let me know if you are looking for something else.
