New workspace always shifts to remote workspaces
-
Wednesday, July 25, 2012 9:00 AMI have a workspace with name xxx, but as per our configurations workspace should be machine name which is yyy in my case. Now when I try to add a new workspace it shifts the newly created workspace to Remote workspaces. I want to configure yyy as my working workspace. Any solutions.

Create multiple workspaces using the directions here, http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg490753.aspx
You have the option to choose whether you would like to create public, private or remote workspace.
Once you have created the workspace, go to team explorer and change the active workspace in the team explorer top panel.
(Do you see where Workspace ALE183 is written, you can change the default workspace from there.

Once you make this change, tfs will remember that as your default workspace.
