TFS Query to Excel Report

Hi friends,
I have an interesting request that I wanted to run by the community to see if it is possible.
Is it possible to query the database for a range of defects that were in a particular state (which may no longer be in that particular state) for a specific time frame
Example:
defect ID range 100-300
in state "Ready for dev"
from today to the past 3 months.
I will ultimately generate an excel report with the results.
I hope this is clear, if not I will attempt to make correction where requested.
Thank you
Kind Regards
Clint

Hi Clint,
Since the work item query brings ONLY the current work item details (Not history), you might need to use TFS Analysis Services to create this reports.
Here is generic instructions for excel reports

If this reply helped you on this issue, mark as answered.

Hi Clint,
Thanks for your post.
I suggest you create the TFS query to get the range of defects, then create Excel Reports from Work Item Queries, please refer to: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sunder/archive/2010/03/02/reporting-in-team-foundation-server-part-7-excel-reports-from-work-item-queries.aspx. (There have more TFS Report information in Sunder Raman’s blog)
