Upgraded TFS Server - issues extracting data from the TFS_analysis data cube

I am assisting a QA Manager at our software house where we have implemented Microsoft Test Manager. He is hoping to exract some test result data from the TFS_Analysis data cube via excel.
He has given the following information
When I apply various report filters, none of the test cases are restricted (I am filtering on Team Project Hierarchy and Test Suite Hierarchy). My main value is Test Case Count and I have applied a Column Label of Outcome, but the Test Case Count is being duplicated across all Columns.
The report is fairly standard (based on MSDN reccomended examples), so I assume that this might be a TFS_Analysis problem.
The TFS server I am using was upgraded from 2005 to 2008 and finally 2010. This data is of particular importance to the QA Manager so he can show burndown of test cases.
Any assistance is welcomed

This should help you http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/how-to-create-reports-for-tfs-2010-test-results.aspx

Hello molar,
Thanks for your post.
However, I am afraid I can’t reproduce the same issue as you. The Team Project Hierarchy and Test Suite Hierarchy works fine on my side. Please see the screen shot to check out if you set up your report like my way:

Thanks,

Hi Anuj, Thanks for your response but this gives me a work around that isn't viable for our situation.

Hi Vicky,
Thanks for your response. This is the screen shot I've just been provided which hopefully shows the problem better

Hello molar,
Based on the screen shot your provide us, it seems that you are using the Team System (cube) as the data source. However, I can’t find the Suite Path, System_Id and System_Title items in your Row Labels area. Could you please provide me more information where to find them?
In addition when you configure the TFS2010, do you select the Upgrade configuration? And you can delete the Tfs_Warehouse and Tfs_Analysis databases and reconfigure them in the TFS Administration Console to see if the same issue persists.
Please refer to this blog for more information about upgrading TFS2008 to TFS2010:
Thanks.

Hi Vicky,
Thanks for your feedback. I will review your article appropriately.
In regards to your questions these fields are all associated with Microsoft Test Manager 2010.
System_ID and System_Title are provided under the Test Case group.
Suite_Path is included under the Test Suite group, Suite_Path being specifically under the 'More fields' sub group.
I've recreated the excel again and I can confirm that I am connecting to the tfs_analysis database.
At this point I am unsure of the upgrade process that was undertaken by development. However we do have a test box, where I will try to delete the TFS_Warehouse and TFS_Analysis databases in order to recreate them and see if I still have this issue.
Kind regards,
Molar

Hi Vicky,
In terms of not spoon feeding comments, the main issues I'm seeing are that:
1) The associated test plan filters are not functional in terms of reducing the number of test cases in the system
2) Using outcome as a column label results in a test case being shown in all possible outcomes
3) Unknown data is being shown in the results coming back from the query
Thanks,
Molar

Hello Molar,
Sorry for the late response.
I did a test on my machine, not in the TFS upgraded scenario and just in the TFS2010, and I can reproduce the same issue as you. I am sorry I can’t figure out what causes this issue.
Maybe you can consider putting a feedback on the Microsoft Connect, go here: https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/
And once you finished that, please post back your link here. I will vote it for you.
Thanks,
