Kanban is another flavor of SDLC being used these days. Was wondering if there are any templates created for Kanban.

I suggest you check out the ALM Ranges Kanban Guidance at http://vsarkanbanguide.codeplex.com/
They have a Kanban customized/enabled process template listed as downloads

There are no official Kanban templates, however there is the one on Codeplex (as Mattias pointed out), and I know of another template + toolset being developed as well.

As for the official word on Kanban and TFS, we definitely want to offer an official, out of the box solution in the future.

    Gregg,

I was wondering if the Kanban template Microsoft is working on for next version is around the same lines as the one provided by  http://vsarkanbanguide.codeplex.com/

I see that the new fields they have created for Kanban are named as Microsoft... Is that because Microsoft is expected to adapt this version

Also they are using the concept of using Process step and System.State is this the direction MS is taking as well?

Once you choose your template, check out SEP TeamWorks.  You can set up a digital kanban board that hooks into TFS!!!

    And it is free.

    Check it out here: http://www.sep.com/labs/teamworks/
