MSF-Agile V5.0 Template - error in Bug Report
-

Hi, I am having an issue with the Bug Report from this template. I am not an MDX person, so I am not able to resolve this myself. I am a developer and have developed and maintained several SSRS reports using DIM and Fact tables, but no experience on the MDX side of the house. So, any help would be appreciated! This is the text of the error when I run the report:
-
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
-
Query execution failed for dataset 'dsSecurityCause'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)
- Query (28, 25) The ALLMEMBERS function expects a hierarchy expression for the argument. A member expression was used.
-
Query execution failed for dataset 'dsSecurityCause'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)

Hi Tim,
Thanks for your post!
Can you perform the following steps to recreate the Analysis DB?
1 Disable Reporting in TFS Admin Console.
2 Open SSMS to connec to SQL Server Analysis Service and delete TFS_Analysis.
3 In TFS Admin Console, enable Reporting and set the Analysis Service Database to TFS_Analysis. This operation will cause the database to be recreated.

Hope this help. If this issue still exists, please feel free to tell me.

Hello again Cathy, as it turns out the priority column for work items has been renamed to priority level. So, I am not sure if recreating the database is going to do the trick. Is there anything I can do short of renaming priority level back to priority to resolve this?

Hi Tim,
Thanks for your feedback!
Do you mean the priority field value in the Bug work item has been renamed? If yes, you can try renaming it back by opening the Bug work item template from Process Editor(Install TFS Power Tools, in VS IDE, select Tools->Process Editor->Work Item Types->Open WIT from Server, select the related team collection and the related team project, and then select Bug).
In addition, there is a similar issue is submitted to our connect portal, please refer to this.
If I misunderstand you, please feel free to let me know!
Best Regards,
Cathy Kong

Hi Cathy, as it turns out the problem stemmed from the fact that I downloaded and was attempting to use the reports from the MSF-Agile Plus SDL - 5.0 template. Once I had realized this, I downloaded the template we are actually using and the issue has been resolved. I appreciate your feedback as it got me to take a closer look at the SQL query to realize this, and I now know how to delete and recreate the OLAP cube which is something I did not know before.
Thanks again for your help!
