We don't have a download for the 5.0 templates yet from MSDN. At this time the only place to get the template if from a TFS2010 beta install.
Thanks.

OK dude, it's 2.5 years later, why is that template still not easily downloadable? If I have an issue with the template on my TFS server and don't have easy access to media (assuming it's in a folder there I can easily access), what do I do?
I can download 4.2, and Agile + SDL on MSDN, so why not 5.0. Help a sister out, can someone at least toss it on SkyDrive or something? :P

Fair point Angela. We made a decision with TFS 2010 that there wasn't a business need to put the templates online for download - there's a tax to everything we do, and there wasn't anyone really asking us for another download point. I don't see that changing going forward.
If you create a new collection on your TFS server that template will be added to that collection and available for download. Or, you can just browse to the "\Program Files\Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010\Tools\Deploy\ProcessTemplateManagerFiles\MsfAgile" folder. Does that help?

Monday, March 26, 2012 2:25 PMThanks for getting back to me Aaron. I am a TFS admin so I can normally do that, just couldn't access the server directly at the time and so it was holding me up. Seemed an odd choice to not put it out there, but I sometimes forget what a pain it can be to put things on MSDN (shame on me, I've been there). In this case, DropBox and Twitter saved the day :)
