Locked SharePoint databases are not being backed up?

I just noticed that TFS backup (TFS 2010 Power Tools August 2011) is not making transaction log backup of SharePoint databases. Is this by design or a bug?

    Hello Alex,

    Thanks for your post.

I have TFS 2010 Power Tools August 2011 installed on my machine, and I can backup SharePoint databases.

On the SharePoint databases page of the Backup Plan Wizard, please make sure you have checked the Include SharePoint databases in the backup plan.

Please see this screen shot for more information:

    Thanks.

    Vicky,

Just like a said in my original post: SharePoint databases do get backed up, but only full and differential logs and  no transaction log backup.

I got an answer in another thread:

    Hi MichaelHauer,

I checked with the TFs PowerTools team regarding your quest and the Connect Bug you entered.
This is by-design.  Originally, SharePoint databases were backed up using marked transactions, but the SharePoint team asked us to remove this (and just do standard backups) since they do not support marked transaction backups.

Thanks and have a great day!
