Is migration from TFS2008 to TFS2012 (TFSPREVIEW ) destructive?

Question

If I configure and use the tool to migrate from a TFS2008 server to TFSPREVIEW , will the migration be destructive to the TFS2008 server?  Will the current activities on the TFS2008 server be hampered in any way, other than possibly performance, if a migration to TFS2012 or TFSPREVIEW is initiated?

If you want to upgrade TFS 2008 to TFS 2012, it is support. For detail steps, you can refer to How to: Upgrade Team Foundation Server

If you want to migrate data from TFS 2008 to TFSP, there is no tool specifically designed to move from on-prem TFS to TFSP at this time. For detail information, you can refer to http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/TFService/thread/d7e44472-f811-4b7c-ae5b-f07fced532ce.
