TFS configuration - TF255175: Failed to map the path '/tfs'

Hello,
I have a problem during Team Foundation Server configuration. I followed Team Foundation 2012 Installation Guide found on MS official page. What I did:
1. Installed Windows Server 2008 R2
2. Installed SQL Server 2008 R2 (configuration as in the guide)
3. Installed Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate
4. Installed SharePoint Foundation (configuration as in the guide).
5. Installed Team Foundation Server 2010.
6. Started Team Foundation Server Advanced Configuration.
During that configuration I followed the installation guide, everything looks fine, but when I finally click "Configure" I get error on 5 or 6th step:
Error TF255175: The application setting could not be set for the web.config file with a key or a value. Key: applicationId. Value: 43201b8d-dbee-4148-b8cf-6082ea5f44bf.
Details: Failed to map the path '/tfs'.
Complete log: http://pastebin.com/xgEkSwpQ
I 've tried every (?) solution that I've found (there is only a few of them), e.g. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/pl-PL/tfssetup/thread/ec537749-874c-4098-81f3-547d25a0aeeb (delete Tfs_* databases, rerun configuration process) or http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/tfssetup/thread/cacbeaa0-a19d-4184-bb5a-b3116542bfcb (delete TFS site from IIS - I have none there).
What else can I do? What did I wrong? I would be very thankful for any help. Please!

Hi TF255175 - Failed to map the path tfs,
Thanks for your post!
Could you tell me if your server name contains underscore?
For more information, please refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee248604.aspx
Hope it helps!

Hi, thanks for your reply.
No, my server name does not contain any underscore, only letters and digits.
I've tried to create file web.config on my own, but it is deleted anyway before creating new one during configuration (and configuration fails so there is none web.config file again).
I guess it might be IIS problem, but everything looks fine for me.
Can you possibly advise me what should I check or do?

Hi Klimas,
Thanks for your feedback!
Could you please post me the configuration log?
You can find the configuration logs in the “C:\programdata\Microsoft\Team Foundation\Server Configuration\Logs
Can you find any related error with it?
Best Regards,
Cathy Kong [MSFT]

Hi Cathy Kong,
Thank you for your reply.
There is the newest configuration logs:
http://pastebin.com/HXL6ssfe
http://pastebin.com/HipCxbRB
So far I didn't find any solution to my problem so I would be very grateful for any help. Of course if I find solution by myself, I will post it here.
What I tried so far (and failed):
1. Restart machine and IIS
2. Uninstall TFS and install it again.
3. Uninstall TFS and SharePoint Foundation and install TFS with SharePoint Services 3.0 which are included with TFS.
I have all required permissions (admin with full control) so it's not the problem.
This system was "clean", no other stuff was installed, and up-to-date as I have installed all available updates.Btw. I've forgotten to mention that I have installed IIS 7.5 in step 1.

Hi Klimas,
Thanks for your feedback!
I am trying to involve someone familiar with this topic to further look at this issue. There might be some time delay. Appreciate your patience.
So move this thread to TFS Setup for better response.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

Hi,
I tried hard but still without success.
I've found an error in Application Server:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {61738644-F196-11D0-9953-00C04FD919C1} and APPID {61738644-F196-11D0-9953-00C04FD919C1}So i followed this topic:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/tfsadmin/thread/883b5f1c-1718-4b9a-a6c8-bf32c5d4d6d2/and repaired this issue (thanks Cathy), but it didn't help with my case.
This error (found in logs) took my attention:[Info @12:39:43.499] ERROR ( message:Configuration error [Info @12:39:43.499] [Info @12:39:43.499] Filename: [Info @12:39:43.499] [Info @12:39:43.499] Line Number: 0 [Info @12:39:43.499] [Info @12:39:43.499] Description: Unrecognized configuration path 'MACHINE/WEBROOT/APPHOST/Team Foundation Server' [Info @12:39:43.499] [Info @12:39:43.499] . ) [Error @12:39:43.499] TF255097: The pass-through error mode for the following Web site could not be enabled: Team Foundation Server.
But I coulnd't find any solutions to this problem that might be connected with my case.
I'm getting frustrated with this... and I will appreciate any help.

The issue seems to be with IIS. I would try to reinstall the IIS on the TFS again. If that doesn’t solve the issue, please run the process monitor and check any errors related to access denied or errors in accessing the site.

Hi
Thank you. Problem partly fixed. It was an IIS issue. I've uninstalled TFS, SharePoint Foundation and IIS than installed it once again and it worked, TFS configuration was finished successfully with only 1 warning (logs: http://pastebin.com/x3hLFd0z). But now I cannot create colletion, because I get error HTTP 500 (Internal Server Error), details: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
When I try to browse page http://localhost:8080/tfs/web I get this error:
TF31002: Unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server: http://gkvtfs001:8080/tfs. Team Foundation Server Url: http://gkvtfs001:8080/tfs. Possible reasons for failure include: - The name, port number, or protocol for the Team Foundation Server is incorrect. - The Team Foundation Server is offline. - The password has expired or is incorrect. Technical information (for administrator): The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found. When I try to browse http:/localhost:8080/services/v1.0/ServerStatus.asmx I get an error that the resource cannot be found. I checked that TFS is working (in IIS manager), but I cannot access TFS web page anyway.
When I try to Repair the connection to SharePoint Web Application in TFS Administration Console->SharePoint Web Applicaitons I get an error:
Reconnecting SharePoint Web application at the following address: http://gkvtfs001/.
[Warning] TF205018: An error occurred when attempting to save the mapping from the SharePoint Web application to Team Foundation Server. The SharePoint Web application is: http://gkvtfs001/. The error is: Server was unable to process request. ---> Input string was not in a correct format..
[Error] Please contact your administrator. There was an error contacting the server.
Technical information (for administrator):
HTTP code 500: Internal Server Error
Reconnect operation failed with warnings and/or errorsI tried to reinstall TFS and SharePoint again, restart IIS and a lot of solutions found in the Internet and I still cannot manage this issue. In TFS Administration Console->Application Trer everything looks fine. Can anyone possibly help me?
