Right Click > Undo Pending Changes; No Child Window Prompt, IDE becomes Non Responsive
I am running Visual Studio 2008 for DB Pro's connected to TFS 2008. Since applying MS's Tuesday patches (10/13), my Visual Studio has lost functionality. It could be coincidence. Anyhow, this issue is as follows;
I have a file that indicates it is checked out (although no changes have been made).
Right Click on the File > Undo Pending Changes...
> Expected Behavior - IDE window frame changes color as it seeds control to request, child window appears, TFS Prompts with a Validation of Action window for the Undo
> Actual Behavior - IDE window frame changes color as it seeds control to the request, but no child window appears.
The IDE is completely unavailable until the Esc key is pressed.
Tried Right Click > Unlock, it produces a TF10152 error. Have also done the usual stuff, compare files, close/reopen solution, reboot, etc.
Any ideas?
Update - command function "devenv.exe /resetsettings" did not fix the issue.

Sorry for the delayed reply.
I suspect this is a "fake" state on your environment.
Please clear caches about version control:
1. Clear AT's cache: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc716691.aspx
2. Clear Client cache: http://blogs.msdn.com/jampick/archive/2009/02/26/team-explorer-cache-cleaning.aspx
In addition, can you check if you can also see the checked out state from other's machine?

Hello,
Is this issue applied for all files or just specific files?
Can you please have a try to undo pending changes in command line by following this link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms245456.aspx
TF10152 message should be normal if the file's type is configured to be automatic locking. For detail information, please view the "Automatic locking based on file extension" section in the blog: http://blogs.msdn.com/phkelley/archive/2008/11/12/everything-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-locks.aspx

Welcome to the All-In-One Code Framework! If you have any feedback, please tell us.The "Undo Pending Changes.." window does not surface for any files. The tf undo command indicated that there are "No pending changes to undo" the one specific file at issue, but the file maintains its checked out state. I ran a test on another file (changes made, but not saved) and the tf undo executed as expected with the file returing to a locked state.
