    Hello

    Wondering with TFS  if one check in document, is it possible to setup states associate with that document?

    Hi,

    This is not possible with TFS Source Control. What you cando is attach the document to a Work Item as link or attachment. A work item can be set with states.

    Another option is to add the document to SharePoint and use Sharepoint functionality to achieve what you want
