    Hi,

I have created Build in TFS Build 2008. In Build Default section, I have put \\<PCNAME>\Drop.
When Build runs it gives an error that you don't have rights on Drop folder.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Hiren ,

The path should be a UNC path like \\server\folder.  When you type \\PCNAME, could you see the folder "Drops", this issue is caused by your local pc network share setting.

    Hi Ruiz,

Thanks for giving an idea to look into the network setting... :)

Network setting was ok but it was showing that network cable is unplugged becuase It's standalone pc.
So, I have created "Microsoft Loopback Adapter" and then tried to access the path and it's WORKING fine.

In TFS 2008, the drop location you can specify directly in Team explorer.

Right Click the Team Build -->Edit Build defination -->Build Defaults -->Buids will be staged in following path --> Here
mention the Network Share path for drop location ( \\Servername\share) and you should have the neccessary Read
and Write permissions to that network path.

    Hi Hiren,

Create a new shared folder, give the Read,Write permissions to that folder, mention this path as drop location in Edit Build defination under Team Build. Check if you are getting same issue for this new drop location also.

    HI Jehan,

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

I tried as per your suggestion and it's giving me the same error. When i tried to access with \\PCNAME\Drops folder it gives same error.
Is there any setting in TFS that I can put D:\Drops in Drop location or any thing else which solve my problem.

    Regards,
