Symbols do not get deleted for both configurations when build is deleted

Unanswered Symbols do not get deleted for both configurations when build is deleted

We are using the parallel build template to build our applications across two build agents for debug and release.

When a build is retained, we see two transaction ids on the symbol server with the correct version - 1 for debug and 1 for release.

When we delete a build including deletion of the symbols, only one of the ids is getting deleted.  Imagine my surprise when I went through the symbol store to find a mess of deleted builds with leftover symbols.

Is this behavior correct?  I don't recall having this issue when using the standard build template.

    Thanks,

    Michael Sparks

    Michael,

I just create one build definition with the ParallelTemplate.xaml build process template, however, when the build completed I can't find the transaction ids on the symbol server. Where you find it?

See Symstore Usage or use this handy little tool: Symbol Store Manager

    Hello Michael,

What about your issue now? Have you resolved it?

In addition, do these two transaction ids in one queued build? If not, I am sorry that you can only delete the transaction id which in the build when you delete that queued build.

    Thanks.
