Virtualisation - how to move TFS to a new domain with new virtual computer name

I am moving our current TFS Virtualised machine to a new domain, with a new computer name. The instructions at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms404883(v=vs.100).aspx#FixSPT don't give me success. The problem seems to be that Sharepoint cannot find the database, possily because it is on a differently named machine. How can I remedy this, and where are the steps to move a virtual machine to a new environment with a new machine name?
This was difficult for me. The new virtual server is in a new domain, AND the server name is different. I follow the steps in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms404883(v=vs.100).aspx#FixSPT but cannot get past the sharepoint configuration.
When changing Sharepoint accounts, as directed in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms404883(v=vs.100).aspx#FixSPT ,
I get
1. "Cannot connect to the configuration database" when I try to open the central admin site,
2. A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

Hi Jean,
Thanks for your post.
SharePoint product work as a separate component with TFS 2010. I think this issue relate to move(backup and restore) SharePoint product to another new domain, I suggest you to post it at http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/sharepoint for the better response.
