    Hi Vik,

    Thanks for your post.

What’s the version of your TFS Power Tools, TFS Power Tools 2011?

Please try to uninstall and reinstall the TFS Power Tools 2011 on the your TFS 2010 Server machine, then perform back up again.

We restored to using SQL for backups. I'll let that run for a couple more days and around Tuesday I'll uninstall and reinstall TFS Power tools and retry the backups.

Yes, I did and have scheduled the backups to start tonight. I'll let you know how it goes.

    Thanks for your help...

Just wanted to let you know that TFS backups are working fine now. Here's what I did:

    - Uninstalled TFS Power Tools and reinstalled them.

    - Recreated the backup plan and pointed to a new location.

I do have another question - how do I remove some collections from the backup plan? There are some collections we created for testing and we don't need to back them up.

    Thanks once again....

    Hi Vik,

    Thanks for your reply.

As far as I know, the TFS Power Tools Backup will create the backup for all the Collections, that’s by default.

For this scenario, I suggest you submit it as a suggestion(select Collection option in TFS Power Tools Backup feature) to User Voice site at: http://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/121579-visual-studio. Microsoft engineers will evaluate them seriously.
