Cannot connect to TFS site from Eclipse

I have a problem with connecting to a visualstudio.com TFS site from Eclipse.
With proxy set in network settings to "Native"
I can connect fine from IE and the Eclipse internal browser. I log in, and all is fine.
When I then go to team explorer and try to add server I get "Error connecting to server: credentials must not be null"I change the proxy settings to "Direct"
Again can connect without any issues from the browser
When I try to add server from Team Explorer, it attempts to connect but times out after a couple of minutes.I have cleared IE cache/cookies, and it made no difference
I have also installed a fresh instance of Eclipse (v4.2.1) with TFS plug-in for Eclipse (version 11.0.0.201212121120) on a different server but this just brought the same issue.
I have exhausted forums trying to find a solution to this issue but cannot find anything.
Any advice or assistance would be much appreciated

Sorry about the issue, can you connect from CLC or any other client such as VS?

Anyone else have any input? It is becoming quite critical :(
Thanks

Hi, apologies for the delay, this was a difficult bug to track down as it requires a certain set of circumstances to appear.
It appears that this is a bug when creating an HTTP channel to a TFS server that requires OAuth authentication (such as Team Foundation Service) when using a proxy that requires basic authentication.
We will have a fix for this in a future update.
