I put some source and header files into a subfolder.  When I view the Team menu for the project or the folder then all of the normal items are enabled, i.e. Get Latest Version, Get Specific Version..., Check Out for Edit", etc.

But when I right-click Team on files in the folder then all of the expected items are disabled.

    Hi,

When you said put some source and header files, did you mean just add them on disk or did you add them from Eclipse? Since those menu items are disabled, I think those files are not added to TFS, Could you please check if they have the TFS icon or if they show in Source Control Explorer.

Please let me know what did you find out.

    Thanks

    Mireille

All of the files are added to TFS.  I am forced to use VS2010 in order to checkout and checkin the files.

Today I am looking at another project without sub-folders.  Check Out for Edit... is disabled for all of the files in this project.

BTW - I checked the box to notify me when there was a response but I did not get an email. I only returned today because I am getting frustrated having to checkout files in VS2010 before I can edit them in Eclipse.

Can you give us some more information about how you got started with these project files?  Did you import the Eclipse projects from TFS using Eclipse's "Import" wizard?  Or did you manually map the projects using Source Control Explorer, then import them from disk?

It sounds like the projects are on disk, since you fetched them with VS 2010, but the TEE plug-in in Eclipse doesn't know they should be connected to a TFS server.  If this is the case, you need to right-click on the Eclipse project and "Team > Share Project" to connect it to TFS.
