Windows Installer 4.5 problems

Question

I am trying to install Adobe Air - the message I get says Installation may not be allowed by your administrator.   There is only me, I have no administrator.  I'm pretty green at this.  How do I proceed because I need Adobe Air for another program I'm trying to install.
