    Hi!

Tell me please, what is the best way to migrate databases from MS SQL 2008 R2 to SQL Azure (schema and data)? I use a utility http://sqlazuremw.codeplex.com/, but when it starts there is an error "Index was outside the bounds of the array"

    Hi ekb,

There is also a very nice (but discontinued) free tool from Red-Gate: SQL Azure Backup. The last time I used it was about 2 months ago. I used it to copy databases from SQL Server 2005 and 2008 R2 to Azure and vice-versa. There is also a command-line version!

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers, Carlos Sardo

Carlos Sardo, Thank for you answer!

I tried the Red-Gate, but the data transfer error occurs.

    Yes, and then works fine.

But data don't migrate. BCP files are generated, but the data are not transferred. In what may be the reason?

You could try the tools on which SQL Azure Backup is based - SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare also from Red Gate.

I'm also from Red Gate and I wrote SQL Azure Backup, now working http://cloudservices.red-gate.com which does hosted SQL Azure backups.
