Hi people,
I have a weird situation that i havent been able to resolve me or my team. I have SQL 2008 installed on my new work laptop (with SMO ver 10). At work, we are using an in-house application that requires SMO 9.
I tried downloading and installing SMO 9 but that didnt work cuz i have a newer version.
I tried uninstalling SMO10 from GAC by using cmd prompt but i got an error saying there are applications depending on it. I restarted the laptop anddisabled all sql services and still no luck with that.
Other team members dont have that because they have 9 and 10 installed. Is there a way to downgrade OR install an older version NEXT to the one i currently have??Thanks a lot
Cheers,

Hi Bssem,
I think you need to perform an uninstallation and reinstallation of SQL Server.

Hello,
Try this link : http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=20101
Be careful it is for SQL Server 2005 SP4. you must have the same version ( SP ) for the download and the SQL Server 2005 .
And you install http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=206461&clcid=0x409 ( for SQL Server 2005 32-bit )
Don't hesitate to post again for more help or explanations
Have a nice day
