Setting up SQL 2012 - Installation hangs at the Server Configuration screen

Question

Folks:

I attempt to install SQL Server 2012 Enterprise - my installation experience is hanging at the Server Configuration screen.  I have let the install sit in the state shown in the attachment for 5 hours.  Any idea how to get beyond this?

Hi John,

I remember seeing this issue with SQL 2005. This issue is rather with slow DC or some settings on DC which does not allow or delays the account validations on the DC. Can you please share the setup logs of SQL and see where exactly does it hung. Also if you can check on the DC if you can find anything in the event viewer logs.

Yes , John, I have  experienced with this issue. Please let it go without changing accounts , means leave the defaults and change them later on after installation is completed.Moreover , if you install the cluster environment, you must provide domain account and it will be hanged forever, we just opened the case at MS and are waiting for response.

        Hello,

           Where is the server ....?  Have you trying to install on vpn server or local....? what is server configuration. Is it comparability for sqlserver 2012.
