Why do  you install STANDARD Edition on Windows 7? Is that possible to install Developer Edition?

in most of the cases it's due to corrupted setup media. Does this media work on some other machine?

    Hi there,

    "  Installation location:         D:\New folder (2)\en_sql_server_2008_r2_standard_x86_x64_ia64_dvd_521546\x86\setup\"

From where are you trying to install from. Can you tell more about the SQL source is it .ISO image or exe file...

Looks like you have some issue with source code.

I am sure you can install SQL2008/2008R2 any edition on windows7 without any KB's.

Use other copy you may be successful.

    Good luck

    kumar

Try to copy the content of ISO image to local folder and run setup locally instead of mounting the ISO file.
