Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 4 (KB2463332) will not install

When I downloaded it manually and tried to install it tells me it is incompatable with my version of windows i am running widows 7 home premium
32 bit.......any help woul be appreciated

From the error message it appears to be permissions related issue. Does running the setup "as administrator" help?
Also post the error log located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix\SQL9Express_Hotfix_KB2463332_SQLEXPR.EXE

I get this error when installing this update -

Hello,
I too am having problems installing KB2463332. But I am receiveing error code "D59"
Am Running windows 7 professional SP1 64bit
When I look for C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix folder, it is not there.
Any ideas?

If you are running the hotfix for SQL Server 2008, then look for the setup logs in the below folder.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log

Well, when I go into c:\program files\microsoft sql server\90 , I only see 3 sub folders. They are:
ELUA
SDK
Shared
There is no setup Bootstrap folder.

I have a similar issue. I have Windows 7 Ultimate and this update appears to install successfully, but then it does a fresh download at the next power up. I have tried installing using ADMIN mode and running SQLEXPR directly. Again all looked OK until next power up.

I have Windows XP and I am also having the problem with KB2463332 error code D59. I tried to manually download it after automatic download failed about 50 times. You seem to be using SQL Express for BCM. Your instance name is MSSMLBIZ. Usually this issue occurs if the mdf/ldf files of SQL Server are compressed. Check ERRORLOG to verify this. Solution is to just decompress all the mdf/ldf files. If files are on default paths location should be
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\master.mdf
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\mastlog.ldf
(decompress other mdf/ldf files at above path too)
Also,C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Business Contact Manager\MSSmallBusiness.mdf
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Business Contact Manager\MSSmallBusiness.ldf

On a Windows 2008 machine I would decompress this way:
Right click on file (or folder) > Properties > Attributes > Advanced
Uncheck "Compress contents to save disk space"

I'm running Win 2003 x64. The update continually fails. Although I've read through this list, I can't find where Windows Update is storing the application to run the setup as an admin (though I'm logged in as an admin when it runs).
