-
Friday, November 11, 2005 8:23 PMI have installed SQL 2005 BETA, VS 2005 BETA in the same dev machine with SQL 2000 in it. Now, I uninstalled both SQL 2005 BETA and VS 2005 BETA. I am getting this error "Yous SQL Server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with (unable to load SQLBOOT.DLL). Please uninstall them re-run setup to correct this problem" I follow this error instruction, but it still no work. HELP PLEASE.

This isn't a know issue, but apparently not everything got uninstalled properly. Check for left-behind SQL Services, and disable or delete them if present.

Hi All,
Could you Please confirm ---You have the SQL server in it but it is faling to start the SQL serverand Logging the error Unable to Load SQLBOOT.DLL
Try to copy the SQLBOOT.DLL from your any other SQL server (the server which has sql on it )and Paste to the
following location "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn "
Seems the SQLBOOT.DLL is missed or corrupted do the aboce steps as I mentioned and try to start it.
Thanks and Regards,
RamaUdaya
