This isn't a know issue, but apparently not everything got uninstalled properly. Check for left-behind SQL Services, and disable or delete them if present.
Monday, March 19, 2007 9:44 PMthis problem happens when the account sql server is starting under does NOT have permissions to that file. Check the permissions on the file and dir

Could you Please confirm ---You have the SQL server in it but it is faling to start the SQL serverand Logging the error Unable to Load SQLBOOT.DLL
Try to copy the SQLBOOT.DLL from your any other SQL server (the server which has sql on it )and Paste to the
following location "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn "
Seems the SQLBOOT.DLL is missed or corrupted do the aboce steps as I mentioned and try to start it.
Thanks and Regards,
