The installation language choosen for Sql Express does not match the system's format language.

Hi
I formatted the laptop and put window 7 OS and tried to install sql server 2008 r2 I got the below error msg.
The installation language choosen for Sql Express does not match the system's format language. Please go to Region and Langauge dialog,
Formats tab in control Panel and update your format language and try the installation again.Pls help giving step by step solution as I am a learner.

Formats tab in control Panel and saw as English US as the language. I think I need to uninstall the sql server first which I am not able to do bcos i don't which language i choosed when installing sql server 2008 r2. pls help meKavithaSuriya

When I tried to uninstall the display language in win 7 OS it showing yellow error icon and shows English and not able to uninstall and install a new display language. Pls. help me how to set the display language.

why are you uninstalling the OS language?
can you check what is the language for SQL express?
can you share/upload SQL express setup logs ?

But already I have installed sql server 2008 r2 which I need to uninstall and I am not able to uninstall bcos of this OS Language problem. Then only I can go for installing sql express. For sql express I did not download. It comes default with Visual studio web developer 2010 express which i downloaded. Can you guide me how to share upload sql express setup logs?

from the logs I saw your issue is similar to the issue in the below thread
to overcome this when running SQL server setup, run setup in elevated mode(right click and select Run as administrator on setup icon)

I am installing sql server 2008 Express , in the features selection page it is showing please wait and taking longer than usual. Let me try again and get back to you. But while installing the vwd is the problem comes actually. There is no seperate sqlserver2008 r2 setup file to run as administrator. It comes along with vwd 2010 express. Pls help
