SQL server 2008 wont install on New install of Windows 7 Professional...

Question

I have tried downloading the version that is listed on the compatibility screen SQL version 10 ? when I go to run I get this message:
TITLE: Message Details

There are no SQL Server instances or shared features that can be updated on this computer.

------------------------------
I then tried another download of it from a different page and get this for a message?
Can you point me in the right direction for this to work....I need this program for school:O) Thanks

I have no exact idea what you try to do but from:

This issue is occurring due to .NET behavior on Win7 change that is exposing a bug in how we close UI dialogs. Generally, if you just rerun it won't hit the issue again.
