    Hi,

    I'm a new guy in the SQL world and I'm kind of confused on where do I have to go to install the CALs for a SQL 2008 R2 Standard installation.

    Hello,

    SQL Server does not keep track of CAL licenses.

    Keep those licenses in a place where you can find them, in case Microsoft asks for them.

    For licensing questions, you can call 1-800-426-9400, Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (Pacific Time) to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing specialist. You can also visit the following site for more information and support on licensing issues:
