For example I want to know when a row to a specific table is added, or even when a table\database is created.

I have been reading around and come accross service brokers, but I am not 100% what these really do, something to do with message queues? I have downloaded and try to run the Service Broker Hellowolrd_CLR example, but I am presented with the error message "Could not find any service with the name 'HelloWorldClient' in this database." I have run the install script, which ran without errors and I have the database for the example installed, but I am unsure how to resolve the issue.

Are there any books on this that anyone would recommend? Or point me in the direction of a simple and detailed tutorial on how I might acheive this? Whilst I wouldn't class myself a novice using SQL Server, I am by nomeans an expert.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

JamesWed, 07 Oct 2009 10:47:53 Z2009-10-07T10:47:53Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/2daadb21-3209-481c-a540-5d3d8f42d791http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/2daadb21-3209-481c-a540-5d3d8f42d791james.reevehttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=james.reeveHow do I get the headers from a SQL2005 query to excel2007In Excel 2003 I was able to copy query results with header from SQL2005. At that point I delited them not realizing I had to do an uninstall. I attempted to do an uninstall from Control Panel but I am unable to do so. The process starts but about half way through it rolls back to the beginning.

I also tried to so a new install but I am told that there is already an installed version and to delete it.

I have looked everywhere I can think of to try and find where this could be coming from but have been unable to. I even went down into the registry but couldn't find anything.

I am trying to remove Microsoft Server 2008 AdventureWorks Databases Refresh 1 Samples (x86).

Anyhelp is appreciated.

Jim Thu, 01 Oct 2009 01:43:19 Z2009-10-01T01:43:20Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/e9f52469-89e8-438b-ab97-12233c8a4c03http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/e9f52469-89e8-438b-ab97-12233c8a4c03Methody Mhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Methody%20MBest Approach to Load AdventureWorksDW2008 into SSAS 2008?Hi:

I'm attempting to make the AdventureWorksDW2008 downloaded to SQL Server 2008 a cube. For example, one bike included 100 bearing balls (UnitOfmeasure is EA - Each). Now I need to know, what costs these 100 bearing balls. There are some purchasing orders with beraring balls - one unit costs about 41$. But the Unit Measure of the purchased bearing balls is CNT - container. Is it possible to become the price of the bearing ball in the purchase order converted to the EA measure? Any UnitOfMeasure conversion table or something like that?

Thanks and sorry for my english!Sun, 27 Sep 2009 11:47:13 Z2009-09-29T15:03:06Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/b4c1aa0c-01e5-4910-b1b8-e978dd096277http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/b4c1aa0c-01e5-4910-b1b8-e978dd096277OrangeTigerhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=OrangeTigerDoes AdventureWorks 2008 work with SQL SERVER 2008 Express?I've tried installing Adventureworks, all was going well until I got a error message concerning not being able to write to "Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Community & Samples : verify you have access to that directory." Why wouldn't I have access to that directory? I am the admin to my XP Pro. Is this a problem trying to install to SQL 2008 express? Help and thanks.Sat, 26 Sep 2009 03:12:42 Z2009-09-26T23:31:55Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/ae983f53-abc1-42ff-ab11-6202ba64aec8http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/ae983f53-abc1-42ff-ab11-6202ba64aec8Malathi_Nagarajhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Malathi_NagarajComposite columns in Primary Key for SSMA
I am tring to migrate a Sybase database to SQL Server 2008 using SSMA tool.I have a table with 25 columns forming a composite primary key.But SQL Server 2008 limits the no of columns which form a composite primary key to 16.

Please let me know how to solve this problem.

Fri, 25 Sep 2009 08:50:10 Z2009-09-25T08:50:12Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/06c5b20a-489c-49d7-8934-3f9a566d00bdhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/06c5b20a-489c-49d7-8934-3f9a566d00bdjoeyboeyhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=joeyboeyAdventure Works Lesson 4Please can you tell me where I can find Lesson 4 project and onwards for SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services tutorials? I cannot find the "enhanced" version of the databases anywhere, and would like to continue with the tutorials.Fri, 18 Sep 2009 02:11:23 Z2009-09-23T19:06:34Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/53a31163-b439-47da-b33b-69e2810bd4fbhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/53a31163-b439-47da-b33b-69e2810bd4fbACTIVERADSYShttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=ACTIVERADSYSwe don't find SQL2008SBS Hi all,
where we can Find the SQL2008SBS database ?
Than you
Attoui
Thu, 17 Sep 2009 16:04:46 Z2009-09-17T16:04:47Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/db6efd79-7953-4981-9165-d21f3d16afdehttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlserversamples/thread/db6efd79-7953-4981-9165-d21f3d16afdeACTIVERADSYShttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=ACTIVERADSYSHow a bout SQL2008SBS
in sql server 2008 step per step (Mike Hotek) do referiment in examples to SQL2008SBS DataBase !
Where we can find this Database?

Attoui
Wed, 16 Sep 2009 14:18:18 Z2009-09-16T14:18:19Z
