    Hello,

    I have installed SQL sever 2008 developer version.

    I have installed (AdventureWorks2008_SR4.exe) from http://msftdbprodsamples.codeplex.com/releases/view/37109.

    When I using this DB in BIDS I added the data source as AdventureWorks2008 usually AdventureWorksDW2008 is provided , when I added Adventureworks2008 and try to data source view I don see the tables (Facts and dim tables) but but totally different from tables from OLTP i guess.

    AdventureWorks2008 and AdventureWorksDW2008 are two separate databases.   You will find the fact and dimension tables only in the AdventureWorksDW2008 database.  AdventureWorks2008 is the OLTP database upon which the data warehouse is based.

    Are you saying that if you specify AdventureWorksDW2008 as the data source you get an error?  If so, what is the error?  You might try going back to the SR4 installation and in the list of databases to install, ensure that the AdventureWorksDW20088 database is selected.
