SQL Server 2008 EKM Interface

Hello,

I am trying to find details about the EKM interface for MSSQL 2008 but there does not seem to be much out there.  My main question is how would I go about creating the EKM DLL that enables MSSQL 2008 to use my HSM.

The only information I have found is this article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa388213%28v=VS.85%29.aspx.  It seems to imply that the DLL just needs to have a MSCAPI interface and whatever interface you're using to talk to your HSM.  Does this mean that I just need to create a CSP DLL as described here (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa388213%28v=VS.85%29.aspx)?

The EKM interface is not published publically and is shared to HSM vendors through an NDA.  If you would like to pursue obtianing the EKM interface specifications, then please contact me directly at [e-mail]
