AES encryption on Windows XP

In the SQL Server 2005 BOL in specifically states that
"AES encryption is not supported on Windows XP or Windows Server 2000."
However, it does not state this in the SQL Server 2008 BOL. Just so I am clear, dare I assume that AES is still not supported on Windows XP?
Thanks...

AES is still not supported by SQL Server 2008 on Windows XP.
When windows XP supports AES we will be able to support AES in SQL Server since we use the windows MSCAPI libraries.

Hi Steven,
Thank you for the response. It is greatly appreciated. However, it conflicts with an answer I recieved in the SQL Server 2005 forum (I had posted it there first and then realized I should have posted in this forum).

Can I take your post as the definative answer?
Thanks...

Hi Scott,
In some of the SQL Server 2008 CTPs AES on Windows XP was not supported but by RTM the support had been enabled.
Sorry about the confusion...
