I have two config files on my computer:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies
Should I assume that Visual Studio 2012 will look for version 10.0 in the above?

As far as I know, the Business Intelligence (BI) Templates for Visual Studio 2012 is not available currently. The BI Templates are only included in the SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) shipped with SQL Server 2012. However, the SSDT shipped with SQL Server 2012 uses Visual Studio 2010 shell, hence, can only integrate into Visual Studio 2010.
For Visual Studio 2012, its PrivateAssemblies folder path is the following:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies
Regarding the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies path you posted, it should be installed by the SQL Server 2012 and contains the config file of the SSDT shipped with SQL Server 2012.
